First of all, I want to apologise for being so quiet over the last few weeks. I went away on what I thought would be a wonderful 4-week trip to France, England and Germany and, in my wildest dreams, I never imagined that I’d have a medical emergency. Right at the end of our time in England, I woke up to find myself in hospital for a few days. A week later, we flew back home and I’ve been trying to get back to my normal self ever since.

I haven’t been able to do much reading or writing but I’m improving every day and almost there. I’m sorry if you haven’t seen much of me on social media, but I hope to get back to it in the next few weeks.

I’m pleased to report, though, that I had a wonderful tour of northern France and also loved visiting The Lake District, Hadrian’s Wall, the Northumberland coast and Durham in the UK.
