Reviews for The Magus Epiphany #reviews #reading

I’m so pleased to share with you three of my favourite reviews for THE MAGUS EPIPHANY, Book 3 in The Jotham Fletcher Mystery Thriller Series. All four books in the series are now available in a Box Set, as well as individual novels.

About THE MAGUS EPIPHANY

Ancient treasures and a new revelation

Jotham Fletcher returns in a deadly quest to save his own family and unravel the mystery behind two ancient relics, the murder of a young woman and a shocking series of messages.

Jotham and Madena have dedicated their lives to stopping the work of the secretive Simonian Sect. Their belated honeymoon in Italy is interrupted when they cross paths with the sect and hear news of a mysterious object left at the spot where Simon Magus died in Rome two thousand years ago. The hunt for answers begins – and soon they are both in mortal danger.

The maniacal new leader of the sect has a plan to rewrite history. Father Dominic, the head of the Brotherhood willing to commit any crime to find the Simonians, flees across Europe with the help of a brutal killer. A strange series of messages about a solar eclipse has the world waiting for a revelation. And with Jotham’s family at stake, he must confront a nightmare from his past.

Three Reviews

A Good Read – Lucinda E. Clarke – Goodreads

I knew I was going to enjoy this book before I opened it as I’ve read two previous books by this author and I was not disappointed. Once again Jotham Fletcher is on the track of two sects whose aim is to bring down the Catholic church. Full of twists and turns, excitement and well-drawn characters, this is yet another book by this author I have loved.

More Action In This Interesting Series – Henry Tilney – Amazon Australia

The latest episode of the Magus series has everything to make this a compelling and engaging story. There’s plenty of cinematic action in the story but the most impressive aspect of the story telling is the sympathetic relationship between hero and heroine. Jotham Fletcher has made the transition from scholarly priest to action man; in this story, he continues to battle the forces of a perverted religious cult and the lawless Catholic militants who are dedicated to preserving the purity of the church at all costs.

Two sets of villains is a lot for any man to face: it’s just as well that he is so ably supported by wife/personal trainer, Madena. It’s an interesting device to cast a priest as the hero of the story. Toni Pike manages to give Jotham an inner life and present him as a decent man whose vocation is turned upside down by events beyond his control. His scholarly passions are well drawn as is his love for Madena. They make a good pair. The villains range from mentally ill monks to a dangerous, charismatic women bent on the destruction of the church. If you like plenty of action and a thriller that is fast paced, you’ll enjoy this novel. Toni Pike has left a dangling conclusion: we can all look forward to another action in the future.

A Religious Conspiracy Mystery – Linda Green – Amazon

This is another exciting Jotham Fletcher adventure and the author’s best yet. I am looking forward to the next release (hope hope) in this series.
