I’m delighted to share with you a new 5-star review for BRODY CODY AND THE STEPMOTHER FROM OUTER SPACE, my new funny adventure book for children aged 6-9. The wonderful D. W. Peach gave the book to her grandson, and he did a wonderful job of sharing his thoughts in the review.
You can imagine how pleased I am to receive a review from a boy the same age as my young hero.
About The Book
Brody Cody is almost eight years old and definitely, absolutely, positively does NOT want a mother. His mother died when he was a baby but life with his dad is just perfect.
Brody is horrified when his father goes away to a publishing conference and returns with a wife, Pandora Smith, who is a children’s author. His life spirals out of control as he is forced to eat healthy food, do his homework and help with some chores.
Even worse, he and his friends suspect that his new stepmother might be an alien from outer space.

I purchased this book for my grandson, and this is what he said about it:
I liked this book. It’s about this boy, Brody Cody, whose mom died. He and his dad live together and Brody doesn’t have very many rules. Then his dad goes away and comes back with a new mom. Brody doesn’t like her because she has rules, like eat vegetables and do chores. He thinks she’s an alien. The best part is when he thinks he sees the spaceship. I liked Brody, and he found out having a mom was pretty good. I read the whole book. There aren’t pictures, but it was good.

I’m so glad you enjoyed the review from Revel, Toni. I had sent the book directly to his house and he read it with his mom. I interviewed him over the phone, and this was his honest opinion. Lol. I’m certain he’ll be reading it again with his Grammy the next time we get together. 🙂 Congrats!
